2014
IEC61850-5 First Edition Perfomance Class: P1 (10ms)
First certified LEVEL A device in the world!!!
Test results:
• Documented scan cycle = 0 ms (event driven)
• Measured scan cycle = 1.04 ms (Max-Min, average over all 8 test cases)
• Performance class = P1 (10ms)
Remarks:
• The size of the dataset has an impact of about 0.6 ms on the average performance
(Gpf2-Gpf1, Gpf4-Gpf3).
• The processing of the subscribed messages has an impact of about 0,5 ms on the
average performance (Gpf3-Gpf1, Gpf4-Gpf2).
• The processing of non-subscribed messages has no impact on the average performance
(Gpf5-Gpf1, Gpf6-Gpf2).
• Because of the event driven model the average and maximum transfer test results are
not compensated for a scan cycle
For the end user two informations are most important:
First: passing the test gives the reliability of using GOOSE in the application
Second: the time- and there we have two information, ones is the communication time and most important for the end user is the roundtrip time what represents the total time(transfer and application time)
Note!!!
The results may vary depending on the equipment and configurations.
Under very unrealistically burdened condition performed at the factory(all functions in the unit) total time was reaching up to 5ms
